Kenya leads the world in AI use and almost none of it has been formally taught. Here is what safe, useful adoption looks like for an ordinary team.

Kenya has the highest rate of ChatGPT use of any country in the world. According to the DataReportal and Meltwater Global Digital Report 2025, 42.1% of Kenyan internet users aged 16 and over had used it in the past month, ahead of the UAE, Israel and well ahead of the United States at 19.1%.
